Velaa Private Island to host exclusive culinary experience with Czech Chef Marek Raditsch

Velaa Private Island Maldives is starting off the year with a delicious take over by renowned Czech Chef Marek Raditsch.

The exclusive culinary event will take place on January 20 at the Aragu restaurant.

With a twist on modern European cuisine, the signature Aragu restaurant takes its gourmet experience to a new level; combining passion for culinary art with awareness and sustainability. Favouring carefully chosen, organic produce from around the world to underline authenticity, the restaurant’s culinary team has created an innovative twist on the evergreens of the Old Continent.

Executive Chef at Kampa Group for the last 18 years, Raditsch’s international experience includes working at top restaurants such as Copenhagen’s Kong Hans Kaelder and Era Ora — both with one Michelin star. He has also worked at Norwegian restaurant Feinschmecker, which holds one Michelin star, and Bagatelle, which has been awarded two Michelin stars.

Tucked away within the collection of islands that form the northern Noonu atoll, Velaa Private Island is elegantly positioned to overlook enchanting vistas of a cerulean ocean. Its name derived from generations of sea turtles that flock there to nest and hatch; it is comprised of 47 private villas, houses and exclusive residences.
